this is the same character (sora from the ps2 game kingdom hearts) over a two-ish year span. i remember how hard i worked on the one at the left, and how hard i just recently worked on the one on the right. 

i love to bring characters with me throughout life and visit them again and again. it is definitely one of the most beautiful things about art, how it evolves and grows. i really enjoy fan art, and i wish that other people saw it the way that i do. unfortunately, a lot of "real" artists are very closeminded about fanart and very busy trying to be "original". im pretty sure at this point i feel contemporary drawing is all the same, and a poor excuse for an individual style. what use is art if you cant communicate something to other people? i guess i just cant entirely draw for myself. i always have the audience in mind. and i want that audience to have a common ground with me. a half way point we can both relate to. ah well. no one reads this.
